This spring, we offer open studio on Saturday and Sunday afternoons and also studio time on Thursday evenings. There is generally someone in studio during these times, but to be sure, send an e-mail to any of the officers to set up a practice time. During the regular school year, we offer weekly group lessons. Times vary semester to semester, so be sure to check this page before each semester for any updates.
Generally we meet in the Student Recreation and Wellness Center (SRWC), which features a rock wall, several basketball courts, a running track, weight machines, a Quiznos, and more. More often than not, we’ll be located in one of the multipurpose rooms (212A or B), which is right upstairs from the rock wall, though we occasionally relocate to the older section of the building (200B, 200C, or 200D).
During the regular school year, weekend practice is available for free except in special circumstances. This time is reserved to further your knowledge of a particular dance, to practice technique and learn new steps, and to get professional lessons from David McDonald or our Dance Chairman. Sometimes we entertain professional instructors on weekends, in which case the studio is off-limits to the public unless otherwise noted. To ensure the studio is available (and it probably is), contact our Dance Chairman.
Our regular weekly and weekend studio times are available on the side bar of this page.
The studio we will use for weekend practice sessions will likely be either 212A or 212B in the SRWC. It’s just upstairs from the rock wall and right around the corner from Quiznos, which is tragically closed on weekends.
